I began researching my family history as a hobby in 2004 after the birth of our first child. My goal was to discover enough to answer the questions I knew he would eventually ask me about our family. Since then, genealogy has grown to be one of my passions in life. I want to help others discover the people who link them to the past in order to preserve this knowledge and history for future generations.
In 2013 I completed a certification course at Boston University in Genealogical Research, and am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society, the New England Historic Genealogical Society and am assistant editor of the Wake County Genealogical Society journal.
